About Save the Dream

Save the Dream Foundation Tanzania is a registered nonprofit organization committed to transforming the lives of children and youth through education, health, and poverty reduction initiatives. The organization works to secure, reach, and fulfill the dreams of vulnerable young people by equipping them with practical skills, financial literacy, and mentorship that foster independence and confidence. To date, the organization has directly impacted more than 2,000 individuals across different communities. Through collaboration, compassion, and community participation, Save the Dream Foundation continues to create opportunities where there were none—building a generation that is self reliant and socially responsible.

Save The Dream Foundation was founded in 2023 by Jackline Simon, who currently serves as the Executive Director. The idea of establishing the foundation was inspired by her personal life experiences and the challenges her family faced while striving for a better future. Growing up, Jackline witnessed how dreams can be interrupted by difficult circumstances. Her mother had strong aspirations of pursuing education, but those dreams were cut short when she was forced into early marriage. Later, Jackline’s father left the family, leaving their mother to raise Jackline and her younger brother alone as a single parent. The family faced serious economic and health challenges. Due to limited financial resources and lack of adequate healthcare, Jackline’s younger brother sadly lost his life. At the same time, Jackline struggled to continue her education as her mother’s health deteriorated. In 2023, she also lost her mother, a loss that deeply changed her life. These experiences inspired Jackline to establish Save The Dream Foundation, with the belief that every child and young person deserves the opportunity to pursue their dreams regardless of their background. The foundation focuses on supporting vulnerable children and youth by promoting three key pillars: quality education, good health, and economic empowerment, helping them build a better and more hopeful future.
